Jyrki Nummisto is a nighttime researcher, independent documentarist, event promoter and a music & record label manager. Jyrki Nummisto and his team is starting a first nightlife advocacy organization in Finland in the beginning of 2025 for helping grassroots actors defend their position in the gentrifying markets.
As a doctoral researcher Jyrki Nummisto is researching the future of nightlife in urban areas, where the demand of sustainability as well as technology are going to disrupt the traditional ways of experiencing night in the cities. In addition, extending for over 20 years Jyrki Nummisto has been a part of Helsinki´s club community from organizing underground parties in the beginning of the millennia to doing music management, promoting events as well as running a small electronic music record label.
