Filmed over a five year period, encompassing the Covid-19 lockdowns, this independent documentary explores Berlin’s clubbing scene and its reputation as the world’s capital of club culture and nightlife. Venturing into inclusive havens of hedonism where the dancing never stops, interviews with influencers, music producers, DJs, clubbers, and club managers capture a unique historical moment, highlighting the generational shift in clubbing experiences towards greater awareness, inclusivity, and tolerance.
The film director Jyrki Nummisto is a doctoral researcher, music manager and a long time member of the clubbing scene in Finland and will be available after the screening for questions and reflections.
