This independent documentary explores Berlin's clubbing scene and the city's reputation as the world's capital of club culture and nightlife. It features interviews with influencers, music producers, DJs, clubbers, and club managers to uncover the allure of Berlin's inclusive havens of hedonism where the dancing never stops.
Filmed over five years period as Covid-19 pandemic came in between, the documentary captures a unique historical moment, highlighting the generational shift in clubbing experiences towards greater awareness, inclusivity, and tolerance as well as the aftereffects of the pandemic.
It examines the evolution of Berlin's club culture from squatted spaces after the fall of the Berlin wall to current societal pressures, offering solutions for a sustainable nightlife economy and cultural vibrancy. Released in the same year as Berlin techno's UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage listing, the documentary honours those working for better urban culture worldwide.
