Veronica Kaup-Hasler ist seit Mai 2018 amtsführende Stadträtin für Kultur und Wissenschaft in Wien und Mitglied der Wiener Landesregierung. Vor ihrem Wechsel in die Politik arbeitete Kaup-Hasler über zwanzig Jahre als Kuratorin, Dramaturgin und Kulturmanagerin. Von 2006 bis 2017 war sie Intendantin des Grazer Kunstfestivals steirischer herbst. Zuvor leitete sie von 2001 bis 2004 das Festival Theaterformen in Hannover und Braunschweig/Deutschland. Für die Wiener Festwochen war Kaup-Hasler von 1995 bis 2000 als Festivaldramaturgin tätig, für das Theater Basel/Schweiz in den Jahren 1993 bis 1995 als Dramaturgin. Im Jahr 1993 absolvierte sie das Studium der Theaterwissenschaften und Germanistik an der Universität Wien.
Darüber hinaus war Kaup-Hasler Mitglied des Universitätsrats der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (2008 bis 2018) und in verschiedenen nationalen und internationalen Jurys sowie als Lehrbeauftragte an der Akademie der bildenden Künste tätig.

Veronica Kaup-Hasler (*1968) is cultural and theatre scholar, dramaturge, cultural manager, politician and, since 2018, Executive City Councillor for Cultural Affairs and Science of the City of Vienna. Before entering the political stage, she has been the director of contemporary arts festival steirischer herbst in Graz/Austria from 2006 to 2017. Previous positions include the Basel Theatre, the Wiener Festwochen and the artistic directorship of the Theaterformen festival in Hanover and Brunswick (2001-2004).
Veronica Kaup-Hasler was a member of various artistic juries, from 2008-18 member of the University Board of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has also been a lecturer at several arts universities in Europe.
