Tom Gill is a London-based knowledge broker, creative consultant and writer, with 15 years experience in event and nightlife production. In his role at World Cities Culture Forum (WCCF) he works with a network of 40+ global cities to share best practice ideas to improve cultural policymaking, and leads on the Forum's research, international events and digital storytelling. With a background in urban planning, he has worked with NGOs, cultural institutions and city governments on a range of policy issues in addition to culture, including urban regeneration, housing & homelessness and diversity & inclusion. Prior to WCCF he spent 6 years at London City Hall, where in his final role he managed Let’s Do London, the city’s post-covid cultural recovery programme. He is an active writer, and regularly contributes to The Guardian (Int) and The i paper (UK) as well as academic research.
