Roland Reithofer is a qualified social worker and serves as managing director of Suchthilfe Wien gGmbH.
Mr. Reithofer’s career in the social sector began as Zivildiener (civilian service) in a low-threshold facility for people with addiction. Following that, he completed his training as a certified social worker and gained over 10 years of experience in low-threshold social work in the areas of counselling and crisis intervention at „Ganslwirt“, a socio-medical drug counselling center (a former facility of Suchthilfe Wien - Vienna Addiction Support Service). He then took over the management of Checkit!, an addiction prevention facility run by Suchthilfe Wien, and subsequently became head of the social work division.
Roland Reithofer has been managing director of Suchthilfe Wien gGmbH since 2012. The organisation offers a wide range of services from prevention and education measures to counselling, medical treatment and care for people at risk of addiction and addicts, as well as projects in the field of (re)integration into the labour market.
