Hornloaded loudspeakers are probably the most sophisticated speakers to understand. In the age of 16 the first horns have been built. To deepen knowledge a study of electrotechnical engineering was the logic conseqence. Fortunately the Technical University of Graz has a lot of lectures to offer on the electroacoustic field. To bring ideas to life 2008 Lambda Labs was founded. Doing the the first projects quickly resulted in getting involved with problems from room acoustics and sound emission. Many many months have been spent in the echoic chamber testing different ideas. The resulting FRPA (free resonating plate absorber) in example, are a great tool to improve sound quality and lowers emission at the same time. Good sound and a happy neightborhood isn't a contradiction, it's just a matter of proper planning.
