Pieter Walinga is program manager for the mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, who recently advocated to explore the legal regulation of drugs. At her international conference ‘Dealing With Drugs’, the question how to regulate drugs, instead of if, was explored. Pieter Walinga runs the follow-up of this conference: the Dealing With Drugs program. On behalf of the city of Amsterdam, he aims to influence the local and international debate, creates coalitions, and designs concrete blueprints for experiments with regulation on the city level.
