Barcelona, Spain

Since 2018, I have been advocating for the rights of people who use drugs in local grassroots activism and international policy reform. Over the past half a decade, my work has included drug education and protocols on discrimination (prevention and intervention), gender, and sexuality in club culture and drug policy. At Chemsafe in Energy Control Barcelona, I currently coordinate nightlife risk reduction and peer support in LGBTQIA+ nightlife and chemsex spaces, and work in their Check Your Chems substance analysis with drug and sexuality counselling. I aim to put intersectionality at the forefront of my peer support and policy work. I also run projects to strengthen our collectives and improve welfare and accessibility. My inclusion and diversity roles were key in leading Students for Sensible Drug Policy Manchester’s accessible drug testing programme, and in advocating for anti-ableist drug policies at the United Nations with Youth RISE.
