Kris Hall, founder of The Burnt Chef Project, aims to address mental health challenges in the hospitality industry. After spending 14 years in the hospitality sector, Kris experienced the intense pressures of long hours, stress, and a lack of mental health support. In 2019, he launched The Burnt Chef Project to break the stigma around mental health through awareness campaigns, training, a 24/7 helpline, and affordable counselling services. Recognising that financial barriers often prevent individuals from seeking help, Kris ensured that many of these services were free or low-cost, making them accessible to all, regardless of their position or income level within the industry. The project advocates for fair working conditions and has gained global reach, providing resources worldwide. Kris's work focuses on creating a more supportive, sustainable hospitality industry.
