Bianca Ludewig is a cultural anthropologist, journalist, cultural worker, dj and record collector. She studied philosophy, cultural anthropology and empirical cultural studies in Germany, followed by a PhD in Austria on "Transmedia Festivals" (forthcoming via Brill/ Böhlau 2025). Her book "Utopia and Apocalypse in Pop Music" was published in 2018. In her research she outlines ambivalences of (post)modern life in audio-social communities, art and culture. Her research interests include club cultures, festivals, sound studies, gender & diversity, working conditions in the culture industries, and the economization of arts and culture.
