Ângela Novaes is a dedicated social worker and queer feminist activist with extensive experience supporting multiply marginalized women and youth. Her work focuses on intersectional approaches to addressing systemic inequalities and providing vital support to vulnerable communities.
As both an expert and a survivor of sexualised violence, Ângela brings a unique perspective to her advocacy work. She combines personal insight with professional expertise to create safer spaces and develop effective support systems for survivors. Her firsthand experience informs her compassionate approach to trauma-sensible care and empowerment-based interventions.

Ângelas commitment to queer feminism shapes her holistic view of social justice. She actively works to dismantle patriarchal structures and promote gender equality across all spheres of society. Her intersectional approach recognizes the complex interplay of various forms of discrimination, including those based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, and class.
In her panel participation, Ângela aims to shed light on the often-overlooked challenges faced by marginalized communities in nightlife spaces. She will discuss strategies for creating inclusive environments, addressing safety concerns, and promoting feminist values within the nightlife industry.
