Join us for an in-depth exploration of the profound connections between music, dance, Black culture and their impact on global club scenes. This panel discussion will illuminate how these art forms have become vital in fostering resistance, community and cultural expression within club environments around the world.
Featuring a global lineup of speakers, each bringing their unique insights, this conversation will highlight the role of music and dance in shaping dynamic, creatively vibrant cultural spaces. Our panellists are deeply embedded in their lively dance communities, offering firsthand perspectives on how they channel the power of rhythm and movement to enrich cultural experiences worldwide. The talk will be followed by an interactive workshop, showcasing Jersey Club and the concept of "call and response", a fundamental element in Black club culture. Participants will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how this vibrant, communicative exchange is executed on the global stage, bringing a piece of international club culture to Vienna.
