Making Space(s) for Club Culture – What's Left, What do We Long For?
Fri, 15.11.
10:30–12:00
Inaugurated by Vienna's City Councillor Jürgen Czernohorszky, this conference format will bring together experts in the field.
In this format, we will explore the evolving landscape of club culture beyond traditional club venues and parties. With rising costs for club infrastructure, organisers are seeking alternative spaces such as interim uses, public spaces for open-air raves, and more. We will delve into recent studies highlighting innovative possibilities, including the potential of water-based venues for club cultural happenings. Join us to discuss what's left of our club culture spaces, what new opportunities lie ahead, and what we long for in the future of nightlife for a sustainable club cultural infrastructure.
